Co-fondateur des Amis de l'Espagne républicaine avec André Oltramare en 1936. Co-fondateur du Parti socialiste de Genève avec André Oltramare et Charles Rosselet (en opposition au Parti socialiste genevois de Léon Nicole) en 1939;
Ami de Luigi Bertoni et d'Edmond Privat; militant espérantiste.
